Charles-Louis Philippe is a writer known for his works depicting the life of the most humble, he was born in Cérilly in 1879 and died in Paris in 1909. His birthplace is now a museum that retraces his life and his work. A reconstruction of the workshop of his father, clog maker in Cérilly, there is also exposed.
