The Museum of Art and history is located in a former mansion of downtown and has varied collections, ranging from Greco-Roman antiquity to classic and contemporary painting. It also contains a library and a documentation centre.
The Museum's collections are very varied and they give it the atmosphere of a curiosity cabinet. Archaeology is well represented, with Greek, Roman and Egyptian artifacts. The most important parts are ancient funerary vases in white marble, a Greek statue, Greek and Etruscan ceramics and coins. The Museum also has a medieval Fund, with a Virgin by marble of the xvi century, a Sainte-Marthe in the Tarascan wooden 15th century and liturgical objects.
