The Garden Museum Maurice Denis located in the eponymous studio house painter in Saint-Germain-en-Laye houses works by Maurice Denis and the Symbolists and "Nabis" painters.
This is the first museum of France on the importance of the fund works Nabis. The museum was established in 1976 by the General Council of Yvelines, thanks to the donation, October 12, 1976, by the painter's family, the Priory, an important collection of paintings and through the acquisition of the property by the General Council of Yvelines.
Among the works of the Nabis group, in addition to Maurice Denis, you can see the paintings of Paul Gauguin, Charles Filiger Paul Serusier, Emile Bernard, Georges Lacombe, Paul Ranson, Odilon Redon, Pierre Bonnard, Edouard Vuillard, Félix Vallotton Theo van Rysselberghe, Władysław Ślewiński, Piet Mondrian and sculptures made by Gauguin in the Marquesas.
