Musée National Ernest Hébert

The Musée Hébert is a national museum, established in 1978 through the generosity of René-Patris d'Uckermann the adopted son of Gabrielle Hebert.

It is located in the 6th arrondissement Paris. Housed in the Hôtel de Montmorency-Bours formed in 1743 by gathering several houses, the museum is dedicated to the work of Ernest Hébert (1817-1908), a renowned painter of the late nineteenth century, especially for his portraits worldly.

The street facade Hebert Museum was listed as historical monuments by a decree of 22 February 1926.

Since 2004, the Musée Hébert is attached to the corporation of the Musée d'Orsay. It is currently closed for renovation.
