The UFA Story

Museum für Film und Fernsehen | Berlin
€2 - €7
For the centenary of Ufa, the German Cinematheque - Museum of Cinema and Television presents its history through seven chapters. Founded as a propaganda tool during the First World War, the company has now become a "content producer" for various audio-visual platforms. The history of UFA also tells the story of the audiovisual media.

Among the constants that cross the history of the brand, we find the stars. Popular entertainment productions are destined for the international market, which is essential for the refinancing of prestigious productions. Large-scale productions, known today as "high-end dramas" for the global market, are only possible on the basis of this calculation.

Despite many pause and breaks in the history of the company, the brand "Ufa" exists for a hundred years. The catchy name has stood the test of decades - its appeal has made this brand an asset and continues to do so today.

The exhibition is over since the 22/04/2018
