Central Park is a huge park in the heart of Manhattan. The park, which stretches from 59th to 110th Street (the Fifth to 8th Avenue) has been develop, but you can still find find wilderness spaces. Central Park welcomes over 35 million visitors annually: this is the green lung of Manhattan, New York. The park offers a variety of attractions and activities. Summer or winter, you never get bored! Here are some places inside the park:

The Great Lawn is a lawn in the heart of the park (the 79th to 86th Street) where you will find baseball and basketball fields and facilities to practice many other sports. In summer you can enjoy the free outdoor cinema.

In 1994, the Reservoir was renamed the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in honor of Jackie Kennedy for her commitment and because it was there she was running. It is always a busy place by runners. Especially in spring when the trees are in bloom. The Reservoir is about 2.5 km long.

Lions, monkeys, penguins, polar bears: they all live in the Central Park Zoo! If you saw the movie Madagascar, you will recognize the animal park. There is also a Children's Zoo where kids can discover goats, sheep, cows and a Vietnamese pig.

The Bethesda Terrace was designed as the heart of Central Park. The stairs have a wonderful view of the lake and on the Great Lawn and down those stairs you can enjoy the beautiful music performed by street artists who choose this place for its acoustics. In the middle of the square is the Fountain Bethesda. The fountain is known as Angel of the Waters. The four cherubim falling below the angel represent the virtues: temperance, purity, prosperity and peace.

In front of the Bethesda Fountain, on the other side of the lake you will find the Loeb Boathouse where you can rent boats, pedal boats and romantic gondolas. If you wish, you can also enjoy a drink and a snack and relax while enjoying a beautiful view of the lake.

The Naumburg Bandshell was built in 1923. It is the only neoclassical building in Central Park. This is a shell-shaped kiosk where we play acoustic concerts. The banker and philanthropist Elkan Naumburg founded this kiosk. When there are no concerts, park visitors sit on stage or admire its architecture.
