The Ecomuseum of the country of Rennes is a french Museum, located to the South of Rennes.
Housed in the old farm of the Bintinais on the outskirts of the regional capital, the Ecomuseum of the country of Rennes was intended to promote the heritage of the country of Rennes, to sensitize, educate visitors, locals and tourists, to the preservation of this heritage, and to link different cultural actors of the territory.

With its 60 hectares, the Bintinais include long farms the most important and the most prosperous of the Rennes country, one of the oldest also since this name persists for nearly seven centuries. His remarkable story reflects as much the rural life of the country as reports of the city with its surrounding countryside.

The Museum occupies the main building of the farm of the Bintinais. On 1,200 m², the Museum retraces the evolution of the country of Rennes from the 16th century to the present day, from the history of the farm and its inhabitants addressing themes very diverse as architecture, agriculture, the framework of life, urban-rural linkages...
