The ancient Bavay Forum contains a fine collection of specimens of Roman art. Excavations have uncovered the foundations of a basilica and Gallo-Roman villas: ramparts dating from the first centuries AD, hypocaustes.
Exploring burials, remains of dwellings, pottery workshops, etc ... from the Gallo-Roman era, made Bavay one of archaeological sites, the most interesting of France.

In the museum, three rooms display a selection of objects recovered from the site. The Gallo-Roman collections are organized by theme: religious life, hiding the bronze worker, house, manufacture and trade of tableware terracotta and glass, Roman Gallo: toilets, ornaments, health, jobs and trade, funeral rites.
Introduction to visit all the monuments Forum: model 1/50 th, plans for different states, photographs, significant choice of architectural elements from destroyed buildings.
