The house of Louis Pasteur families is a home / tanning / lab / museum or lived and worked Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) in Arbois in the Jura in the Franche-Comte in the nineteenth century. The museum dedicated to his memory is labeled houses Illustrious and is the property of the foundation of the Academy of Sciences. The building is classified as a historical monument since 1937.

In 1827, at the age of 5 years, Louis Pasteur arrived with his parents from Dole (home of Louis Pasteur in Dole) in this house Arbois, beside Cuisance (on the current avenue Pasteur) where his father established his tannery, and when Pasteur spent his early years up to the age of 17.
