Charmettes is a property with gardens and a house that was inhabited by the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau in 1736 to 1742 in the Charmettes valley, near Chambery.

The house, now a museum, is classified as a historical monument since 1905 and labeled houses Illustrious.
This is the Charmettes the heart of the countryside, on the heights of Chambery, the young Jean-Jacques Rousseau lived with Madame de Warrens, between 1736 and 1742.
