André Malraux Museum of Modern Art (MuMa) is located in Le Havre at the entrance of the harbor, close to the captaincy.
Thanks to numerous donations and legacies, it has the richest collection of Impressionist province. It is named in honor of the French writer André Malraux, then Minister of Culture, made the museum one of its priority projects and inaugurated it in 1961.

Founded in 1845, the Museum of Fine Arts du Havre is completely destroyed by bombing in the Second World War. It will be the first museum rebuilt after the war.

The late nineteenth and early twentieth are marked by the Impressionists funds, Eugène Boudin and Raoul Dufy.
