Father Bonno pastor of Chelles of 1899-1911 gave his extensive collection to the museum that now bears his name. The museum has a rich archaeological collections coming largely from excavations on the site of the town, as well as a remarkable collection of fabrics from the Middle Ages, some of which come from the royal tomb of the founder of the monastery, the Queen Bathilda.

All major periods from prehistory to the nineteenth century is presented through locally sourced collections:
- Daily Neolithic objects, the Gallic, Roman, medieval and modern
- A unique collection of fabrics Merovingian
- Works by Guy-Pierre Pygmy Falcon (1882 - 1920)
