Former residence of the archbishops, the Old Palace offers spaces of great wealth.The visit will take you to the old chapel of the Madeleine, to discover wall paintings of the fourteenth century, in the Romanesque room with the remarkable painted ceiling of the thirteenth century, or in the courtyard of the Madeleine, to enjoy a privileged point of view of Théodard's bell tower and the chevet of Saint-Just and Saint-Pasteur cathedral.

The rooms of the Palais Vieux currently house the museum collections of pre and protohistoric archeology, from the ancient and medieval periods.

The Archbishop's Palace is currently undergoing a global renovation and restructuring project to renew the visit offer and present the collections of prehistoric, medieval and art archeology around a new scientific and cultural project, while the Roman collections of the City will soon join the new Regional Museum of Narbonne Antique (MuRéNA).
