The works of the museum is divided into five rooms on three levels.

The archaeological collection involves thousands of parts mainly covering prehistory (Paleolithic, Neolithic) but also the Gallo-Roman and Merovingian civilization. Boucher de Perthes Museum has a gallery dedicated to the objects of local searches that are the evidence of human activity in Picardy Paleolithic to the Merovingian era. The collection of the Museum of Natural Sciences is dedicated to the birds of the Somme, beetles and butterflies.

Boucher de Perthes Museum pays tribute to major donors who are behind the collections belonging to the Municipal Museum. 's Study of Jacques Boucher de Perthes (1788-1868) is also restored on the top floor of the museum. The Museum currently maintains 257 works by the artist Alfred Manessier (1911-1993) including 252 from an initial donation in 2001.

The belfry attached to the museum date 1209 Built of sandstone, measuring nearly 33 m high and 10 m wide, it has 119 steps.
