Charles Friry museum is one of two museums Remiremont (Vosges). The mansion now houses the museum is an old canonical eighteenth century house. Built in 1750 in the canonical neighborhood surrounding the abbey church, it was inhabited by the Countess of Briey which was the last dean of the chapter of Remiremont, from 1759 to 1789, the year of his death.
Painting, sculpture, engraving and decorative arts are represented in these collections that cover the ancient art from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century and the modern art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
