Musée Comtadin - Duplessis

On the ground floor, the Comtadin Museum evokes the history and culture of Vaison in Vaucluse and its capital, Carpentras.
Seals and medals evoke the history of the papal enclave from 1229 to 1791 Des Comtadine caps, Provencal creches, decoys, weights and measures and a unique collection of bells illustrate the customs of the Comtat.

On the first floor, the museum presents Duplessis collections of paintings from the sixteenth to the early twentieth century, which have their origin in the office of Bishop of Inguimbert, bishop of Carpentras from 1735-1757, founder of the Inguimbertine Library and Museum: a "Design" Peter Parrocel (1670-1739), Marine Joseph Vernet (1714-1789), as well as portraits, including that of Rance assigned Hyacinthe Rigaud (1659-1743).
