Musée Cévenol

Le Vigan | Archéologie - Arts décoratifs - Beaux-Arts - Histoire
€3 - €5
The Cevennes Museum is housed in an old mill, it is adjacent to the Old Bridge novel Vigan dating from the twelfth century.
The Cevennes Museum was founded in 1963 by Odette Teissier du Cros with the help of A. Durand-Tullou and Andrew Chamson.

The museum offers visitors several spaces on three levels of access through objects and ethnological reconstructions. Clay, wood, stone, wool, silk were the engines of the craft and industry in the southern Cevennes.
From the living room to the trades of Fine Arts, the route takes you into the museum to meet Coco Chanel (1883-1971), André Chamson (1900-1983) or Robert de Joly (1887-1968) .
