Palais Neuf des Archevêques, Parcours d'Art

Narbonne | Archiepiscopal Residence - Decorative Arts - Fine Arts - History
€4 - €10
The visit of the Palais Neuf, built between the fourteenth and nineteenth centuries, allows the discovery of the former apartments of the archbishops and very rich collections of art.

The course offers a remarkable collection of earthenware from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, furniture and an important section of Orientalist paintings presented in an exotic and original decor. The spaces and their decorations themselves are sumptuous and worth a visit: painted ceilings of the great auditorium (1634), the King's room (1632) and the large gallery (1851), or the dining room Archbishops (eighteenth century) and its decoration of gypseries dedicated to nature and hunting.
