Evreux | Archéologie - Beaux-Arts - Ethnologie
Free Admission
The museum of Evreux (or museum of the former bishopric) opened in the year 1960. It occupies the former bishop of Evreux, building from the late fifteenth century connected to the cathedral by a cloister. It houses about 1500 square meters of exhibition rooms on four levels and features periodic exhibitions. The fourth level of the museum in the basement was created in 1985 and updated the foundations of the Gallo-Roman wall, visible from the showroom. This room is dedicated to prehistory and antiquity.
