The hotel Vauluisant is one of the few stone buildings in the city of Troyes in the middle of the sixteenth century. It takes its name from a safe house that stood in its location and which belonged to the Cistercian Abbey of Vauluisant,

Purchased by the City in 1932 in order to create a museum of decorative arts, it now houses two: Champagne Art Museum and the Museum of Hosiery.

The Champagne Art Museum presents outstanding examples, including sculpture of the Virgin Villenauxe Christ of Pity; Painting the Virgin in the red cloak and stained glass: the hotel signs of Blunderbuss by the master Linard Gontier.
