The Museum is linked to the history of Nevers, large pole faience from the 16th century, the master collection is 2500 rooms including 1950 rich Nevers faience, ceramics. The largest room of the Museum is dedicated to the presentation of this collection of exception. Works, very diverse, reflect the richness of a nowhere equalled production. Parts bonfire from the 16th to the 20th century, exposed creations earthenware reveal a whole history of art, of an economic activity but also a company - Court in the 16th century art and 17th-century faience enters houses bourgeois then popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Large ornamental plates, paving tiles, bottles in decorations, statues, decorative plates or atypical objects tell this epic mixing big and small history, technical know-how and art.
