Musée de la Grande Chartreuse

Created in 1957, the museum aims to inform visitors about the Carthusian order, their 900 years of history, their lifestyle as well as the Grande Chartreuse and architecture. The museum is located in the heart of the desert of the Carthusians and the Regional Natural Park of Chartreuse instead said Correrie in a group of monastic buildings of the XVII-XIX centuries. These old buildings were once intended for habitat and workshops lay brothers; they successively sheltered over the centuries a printing and infirmary for sick Fathers.
