Since 1985, the museographic site of Champigny is installed in a mansion of the 19th century in the Park Vercors on the edge of the Marne. It includes several collections of documents or original objects gathered through more than 4,000 donations since 1965.

The Conservation Centre contains one of the major collections of clandestine editions and archives of organizations of the French Resistance, as well as the photographic Fund of 200,000 photographs of the newspaper Le Matin (french journal founded in 1884 and disappeared in August 1944 after collaborating with the occupiers), photographs by Robert Doisneau, the original manuscript of the poem freedom of Paul Eluard, the last letter of Guy Môquet.
