Established in 1977, the Museum of Toile de Jouy, located in the castle of Eglantine revived memories of the famous Manufacture de Jouy founded in 1760 by entrepreneur and printer Oberkampf. A great human adventure, industrial and art to discover!

During your visit, you will discover the print materials and ancient drawings used to make the toile de Jouy. You will discover wooden boards, plates and copper rollers, screen printing and dyeing products frameworks used to print canvas from 1760 to 1843.
The world renowned Toile de Jouy is a cotton fabric printed with characters in landscapes or scenery. It is used in many textile designs, decorations and furnishings.

Devoted to the decorative arts of the eighteenth century to the present temporary exhibitions are offered throughout the year. The Museum of Toile de Jouy also offers entertainment, educational activities and guided tours.
