Over the journey, one can discover archaeological collections around discovered during restoration of the museums elements: elements that allow an introduction to the origin of Gaillac capitals of the thirteenth century Gallo-Roman mosaic ... So, ancient city. Then, the visitor discovers an evocation of Gaillac port which gives the town the beginning of its development.

The tour continues with a gallery devoted to the vineyard and wine business that made the reputation of this region since ancient times. Different presentations of the terroir and equipment needed for the various phases of work in the vineyard through to packaging and transportation of wine is a remarkable introduction to the wine business.

Another gallery is devoted to the production of glass and earth with a special collection of mortars salts with embossed decorations, special production of the Tarn valley. A large room is dedicated to an important collection of objects around compagnonniques traditional objects of control and reception, scarves, masterpieces, prints and portraits.

One room is devoted to sacred art from the abbey of Saint Michel Gaillac and churches. We discover a set of medieval statuary until the eighteenth century, liturgical vestments and religious objects.
