The Museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the pond and Biscarrosse Parentis, former transatlantic seaplane base. The history of the local and global aircraft is explained by models, mechanical parts, photos, movies and documents from the era. An exhibition hall presents authentic seaplanes from different eras.

Biscarrosse, resinier village in the Landes of Gascony, that nothing predestined to the aviation industry, was chosen in 1930 by Pierre-Georges Latécoère as place of mounting and testing of major french seaplane. The pond and Biscarrosse Parentis thus sees from more 120 seaplanes gigantic, so called "ships from the air. At the controls of these prestigious devices are Airmen of renown such as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Jean Mermoz, Henri Guillaumet.
