The Museum of prehistory of the gorges du Verdon features a collection of archaeological pieces from fifty years of excavations in the Verdon. Built by the architect Norman Foster, it is considered as one of the largest museums of prehistory in Europe.

Excavation of 60 archaeological sites in the Verdon, for more than 50 years, has delivered a large quantity of archaeological and Provençal essential knowledge of prehistoric populations scientific data. These collections are dated from the Paleolithic, Neolithic and the bronze age.
