The County Museum of Prehistory of Ile-de-France, Nemours (Seine-et-Marne) is a museum that presents the prehistory of the Paris Basin, the first vestiges attesting to the presence of humans (about 500,000 years BC . BC) at the end of the Gallic period (last quarter of the first century BC. BC).

Backed by the natural slope of the land, the museum is located in a forest with various species (pine, oak, birch, hornbeam, hazel, acacias, etc.) and chaos strewn with sandstone. This site is owned picturesque natural forest Nemours Poligny which itself is a southern extension of the forest of Fontainebleau.
