Musée de Sismologie

The Museum of Seismology and Earth Magnetism is installed in a building of the Louis Pasteur University opened in 1900 to serve as a central seismological station in the German empire of William II. Used until the 1970s, it was gradually replaced by more modern instruments installed in the Vosges.

The museum houses two independent collections of instruments: the ancient seismometer station and a series of devices for measuring the Earth's magnetic field.
