The Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris is a Parisian museum that seeks to maximize the applied arts and the development of links between industry and culture creation and production. The museum has the objective that led to its foundation "in France maintain the culture of the arts pursuing the realization of beauty in useful."

The museum was profoundly reorganized in 1996 as part of the Grand Louvre project, with the final installation of the Museum of Fashion and Textiles for its reopening in January 1997, The Museum of Advertising (designed by architect Jean Nouvel) enlisted in the assembly in November 1999.

They are divided into five chronological departments (Medieval-Renaissance, xvii-xviii, xix, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Modern, Contemporary) and five thematic departments (graphics, jewelry, toys, wallpaper, glass) to draw a chronological evolution of artistic production in all its aspects in decorative arts from the Middle Ages to contemporary design: furniture, tableware, graphic arts, metalwork, glass, ceramics , wallpaper, upholstery, painting and sculpture are represented in collections.
