The Fabrégat Hotel, named after the first elected mayor of the Second Republic, is a gift from the latter to the Biterians to make it, in 1903, the first site of the city dedicated to Fine Arts. The collections were collected and given first by the Archaeological Society; the works of the Renaissance rub shoulders with the following centuries with great happiness: we must mention some names like Holbein, Patinir, François Bunel whose Comedians is a true masterpiece; then the Italian school represented by the workshops of Guido Reni, Gentileschi, for the seventeenth century; the Spanish school is well represented by Murillo and Ribera.

The Flemish school is also important, as is the French school. The painters of Barbizon are not absent: Theodore Rousseau, Daubigny, Isabey, Camille Corot; but also Géricault and Delacroix.

Béziers inherited the "most illustrious of his sons", Jean Moulin, a collection of paintings by modern masters: there are Chirico and Soutine, Raoul Dufy, Krémègne, Suzanne Valadon ...
