MUba Eugène Leroy

Tourcoing | Modern and Contemporary Art - Fine Arts
€3 - €7
The MUba Eugène Leroy, naming the Museum of Fine Arts in Tourcoing since 2009, is located near the town hall in a beautiful mansion in 1866, the hotel Roussel-Defontaine representative of architecture in vogue under Napoleon III .

Established in 1860, formerly the Fine Arts in Tourcoing, the MUba Eugène Leroy presents its collections in an ongoing effort to dialogue between classical art, modern and contemporary art. Paintings, drawings, sculptures come together to initiate a thematic where one crosses Louis-Leopold Boilly, Rembrandt or Theodore Rombouts face to face with contemporary Felten-Massinger, Antoine Petitprez, Philippe Cazal or side by side with figures twentieth century as Martin Barre and Jean Fautrier. The permanent collections occupy half of the exhibition area. Their attachment is regularly updated to echo the major temporary exhibitions scheduled two to three times per year.
