The departmental Museum of Arts and popular Traditions is installed in the Château de Champlitte.

The departmental Museum of Arts and popular Traditions owes its existence to Albert and Félicie Demard subsequently helped their son Jean-Christophe Demard. It was during the major changes related to the rural exodus and the modernisation of farms in the 1950s, that the Demard family collection furniture that will contribute to the Foundation of the Museum located in Champlitte.

Officially founded in 1957, the Museum, housed in the castle of Champlitte, becomes Musée départemental in 1963. Ethnographic Museum mainly devoted to the peasant society of the years 1880-1915, it also addresses the period of enlightenment, with some rooms evoking the presence of the family De Toulongeon, owners of the Castle until 1825.
