Located in the heart of the city, Gassendi Museum occupies a former hospital of the sixteenth century. It provides the public with encyclopedic collections developed for over a century in the field of art, history and science. Today, the Museum Gassendi values ​​this diversity: the presence of contemporary art in relation to the permanent collections, allows breaking down disciplinary barriers. So the first work that can be seen by transparency before entering the museum is that of an American artist Mark Dion. "Worthy Collection Index" is a miniature of Gassendi Museum, a large cabinet which combines art and science.
