The Museum of Old Aix-since 1932 in the Estienne de Saint-Jean hotel in Aix-en-Provence.
In 1930, Marie d'Estienne de Saint-Jean, the owner of the mansion located at 17, rue Gaston de Saporta, nourishes the project of making his home a museum displaying local and regional history Aix through the exhibition of furniture, tools, figurines and other tiles. With the help of folklorist Marcel Provence, the project was born from 1932 Marie d'Estienne donated his collections.

The Museum of Old Aix-has original collections of articulated wooden puppets, dating from the nineteenth century and used as part of the Corpus Christi, the celebration of which is attested from the thirteenth century to Aix. The screen of Corpus Christi, rare and beautiful piece of craftsman restores the celebrations of the Old Regime. Period costumes take visitors in Aix eighteenth century.
