The museum Frederic Mistral is a museum dedicated to the Provencal writer Frédéric Mistral (1830-1914) set in a country house of the nineteenth century in which he lived in the village of Maillane in the Alpilles and the Bouches-du-Rhône . The house, garden and outbuildings are classified as historical monuments since November 10, 1930.

In 1944 the house of Frederic Mistral with hall, lounge, study, dining room, three bedrooms upstairs, fully furnished home becomes "Frederic Mistral Museum" after the disappearance of his wife Marie-Louise Mistral in 1943. the Historic Monuments department restores the museum carefully preserved between 1992 and 1995 as it was during his lifetime.

The museum features artifacts, artwork, portraits, paintings, sculptures, paintings, photographs, some 60,000 letters received by the poet throughout his life, about 1200 books that belonged to the poet and other memorabilia accumulated ...
