The museum Georges de La Tour, established in 1996, is located in the birthplace of the painter Georges de La Tour.

The museum has a rich collection of paintings from the seventeenth century until the early twentieth century, which accurately summarizes the legacy of La Tour and his chiaroscuro of 960 m2 of exhibition space spread over three floors of approximately 130 m2 each; painting of the seventeenth century the first floor (Georges de La Tour, Jacques de Létin, Jacques Blanchard, Cesare Dandini, Domenichino, Meiffren Conte, Charles Le Brun, Matthieu Le Nain, Madeleine Boullogne, Jacques Stella), landscape and painting eighteenth century on the second floor (Sebastiano Ricci, Pierre-Henri de Valenciennes, Jan Frans van Bloemen, Jean-Bernard Restout, Joseph-Marie Vien) and under the canopy, romantic painting and the period of the nineteenth century to the early twentieth century (Camille Corot, Paul Baudry, Eugene Isabey, Paul Delaroche, Leon Bonnat).

The collections are developed in vicoises basement foundations reference to the birthplace of Georges de la Tour: in particular archaeological collections on the history of this city which was also the castle of the bishops of Metz.
