Musée Joseph Denais

Beaufort-en-Vallée | Archeology - Modern and Contemporary Art
€3 - €5
Initiative of a history buff, the culmination of the humanist dream, the museum founded in 1905 by Joseph Denais presents over 7,000 objects. This veritable cabinet of curiosities invites a singular "journey immobile" because of its encyclopedic collections: fine arts, natural history, archeology, local and foreign ethnography.

The collection Denais Joseph now has nearly 8000 objects (prehistory, Egyptian antiquities, Greek and Roman, fine arts, decorative arts, ethnography and natural sciences). It has rare items such as bronze Little lady of Camille Claudel or the mummy and sarcophagus.
