Price
€3.5 - €5
Presentation
The Lambinet museum is an old mansion that Joseph-Barnabé Porchon, contractor of the buildings of King Louis XV, had built on the site of the former pond Clagny. Acquired by Victor Lambinet in 1852, it was bequeathed to the city in 1929 to install the municipal collections of works of art. These come from the Municipal Library, former Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Navy of Louis XV and Louis XVI, where they bore the name of Jean Houdon museum. This former residence presents collections highlighting the fine arts, decorative arts, through the reconstruction of an eighteenth century apartment, as well as the history of the city of Versailles.
