Musée National Clemenceau-De Lattre

Mouilleron-en-Pareds | History
The National Museum of the Two Victories, also known under the name of Georges Clemenceau and Jean de Tassigny museum is a museum dedicated to the life of the politician Georges Clemenceau and military Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, the two men who had an important role in the victory in two world wars and are also both natives of the village of Mouilleron-en-Pareds.

Opened November 20, 1959, the museum parallels the lives of these two great figures of twentieth century France and their respective roles during the two world wars (Clemenceau as President of the Council of Ministers during the First World War and Lattre as General of the Army during the second). In the manner of a memorial, it proposes to follow their journey through works of art and other documents as well as time to discover in its original condition the house where Jean de Lattre was born and spent his childhood.
