Musée Paul Landowski

Boulogne-Billancourt | Fine Arts
€4.5 - €6.5
The collections of Paul Landowski (1875-1961) were donated to the City of Boulogne-Billancourt in 1982. In this museum, we can discover the work of the Landowski artist, Rome Grand Prix of sculpture in 1900, world famous during the interwar period, notably thanks to the famous Christ redeemer who dominates the bay of Rio de Janeiro from the top of Mount Corcovado.

The sculptures on display are representative of the work of Paul Landowski. The small statuary accounts for his intimate art. The models of monuments show the extent of his monumental work particularly present in Paris (Jardins des Tuileries, Panthéon, Trocadéro, Invalides ...). The walls of the Temple of Man finally give the dimension of a major project, unrealized dream, retracing in bas-relief and round hump the history of humanity.
