After discovering Cagnes-sur-Mer in 1903, Auguste Renoir having health problems finally fixed by purchasing the "Domaine des Collettes" three-hectare property, June 28, 1907, after having had a heart for his old olive grove, orange trees and farmhouse of the nineteenth century. In 1908, he built a house of neo-Provencal style with two workshops for artists by architect Jules Biot Febvre. He saw, painted and sculpted for eleven years with his wife Aline and their three children, Peter, John and Claude, until his death December 3, 1919 at the age of 78. It achieves this remains its "period cagnoise" or "last period" along the lines of its domain. He also discusses the sculpture between 1913 and 1918 with Richard Guino then with Louis Morel.
