The museum Robert Tatin is an "environmental art" created by artist Robert Tatin, between 1962 and 1983, on the place called The Frénouse to Cosse-le-Vivien in Mayenne.

Throughout his life, Robert Tatin has accumulated experience and knowledge make him an artist builder with exceptional creativity.

In 1962, at the age of sixty he settled permanently with his wife Lisa, his homeland in Mayenne, at a place called The Frénouse near Laval, where he erected the most spectacular of his works . As from this moment and from the ancient "Maison des Champs," where he lives, his energy and knowledge are bound to shape a monumental sculpture in harmony with the wooded landscape that welcomes.

Around the house, he realized for 21 years (until his death in 1983), the culmination of his career and work of his life, the "Strange Museum Tatin".
