Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle de Troyes

Troyes | Natural Sciences
Unique in Champagne, the Natural History Museum of Troyes has been open to the public since 1833. The permanent exhibition, on the ground floor of the former Saint-Loup abbey, was completely renewed in December 2015.

The Museum offers a discovery of the diversity of life, here and elsewhere. From the emblematic crane of Lake Der to the African zebra via the American crocodile, nearly 300 animals are on display, from the region of Troyes, France and the world.

The course is an educational, fun and interactive discovery of the diversity of life as seen from the perspective of species classification. It evokes the lifestyle of animals and their adaptations to the environment.

A course designed especially for children allows you to learn while having fun thanks to islands of games, questions of the true or false type and real objects to touch such as skins of animals and footprints ...

Visits and discovery workshops for children are regularly offered.

Finally, the Museum organizes temporary exhibitions on topics that are broadly related to the natural sciences and sciences in general.
