The Palais Galliera, the Fashion Museum of the City of Paris, is located in the palace of the Duchess of Galliera which was built between 1878 and 1894 by the architect Léon Ginain in the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris.

The Galliera museum lives to the rhythm of exclusively temporary exhibitions, two to three per year. The site has a library and a documentation center, accessible only by appointment.

Its collections, more than 100,000 pieces of clothing and accessories, are among the richest in the world and reflect the codes of clothing and dress habits of France from the 18th century to the present day.
