Weeksville Heritage Center brings African American history to life! Its historic Hunterfly Road Houses are the only surviving residential structures of Weeksville, a vibrant, self-sufficient 19th century African American community. Tour the newly restored houses, which are listed on the National Historic Register, or attend Weeksville Heritage Center’s education, preservation, music, lectures, walking tours and other programs for all ages. There’s a lot to discover about how African Americans lived in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
